Secured File Transmissions
Automate and simplify your file transfer process to EMSS by utilizing
our Secure FTP (File Transfer Protocol) site. Our system meets HIPAA
and US FDIC regulations and allows for three types of file transfer
methods:
- FTP via SSH
- FTP via SSL
- Web Browser via HTTPS
Both the FTP via SSL and Web Browser via HTTPS use the industry
standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) at 128-bit encryption. For the
SSL FTP, we provide both Implicit and Explicit passive SSL file
transfers. FTP via SSH supports many of the SSH Encryption algorithms
for example 3DES, blowfish, AES256, among others. Also supports
SSH Hashing algorithms.
For added security, our server is also FIPS 140-2 validated which
encrypts the stored data (as well as passwords) on the server with
AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) 256-bit encryption, therefore
relieving the need to use third-party encryption programs such as
PGP or WinZip encryption. By providing end-to-end and storage encryption
protection, our secure FTP will give you piece of mind that your
data is protected from unauthorized access.
Besides the encryption strength, we also provide 3-factor authentication.
We can apply one, a combination, or all authentication options,
which include:
- IP Address restriction
- SSH/SSL key exchange
- Use of complex passwords
